MANCHESTER, NH — Police arrested a city man driving on a suspended license after he was allegedly spotted talking on his cell phone while operating his car on Queen City Avenue.

According to a police report of the incident, on January 15 at about 12:05 a.m. Officer Matthew O’Connor observed Ahmed Mohamed, 21, of Manchester, talking on his cell phone while driving east on Queen City Avenue. Officer O’Connor stopped the 1996 Toyota Corolla in the area of Union and Shasta streets and spoke with the driver.

Mohamed initially provided a false name to Officer O’Connor, who ultimately identified the driver as Mohamed, and confirmed he was operating the vehicle with a suspended license.

Mohamed was arrested and charged with disobeying a police officer; driving after suspension or revocation; and violation of bail conditions. He was issued a motor vehicle summons for use of an electronic device while driving.

Mohamed was scheduled to appear in the 9th Circuit Court-Manchester on January 15, 2015.
