Driver killed, two injured in early morning crash

WINDHAM, NH — A 19-year-old man was killed May 8 after his car crashed into the guardrail near Exit 3 on Interstate 93.

NH State Police responded to the single-vehicle crash at approximately 12:15 a.m., as well as Windham and Derry Fire and Rescue crews.  

Police say the driver lost control and struck the guardrail, and that the accident scene and debris field stretched approximately 80 yards. The driver was ejected from the vehicle. He was transported from the scene to Parkland Medical Center by ambulance where he succumbed to injuries suffered from the crash.

Two passengers,  a male and female, both 17 years old,  were transported to Lawrence General Hospital for their injuries. The I-93 was shut down for approximately 30 minutes while Troopers were investigating the scene.
