Douglas Street homicide victim identified

MANCHESTER, NH —New Hampshire Attorney General Joseph A. Foster and Manchester Police Chief Enoch F. Willard announce that the autopsy has been completed on the deceased male discovered at 534 Douglas Street in Manchester on Tuesday, March 28, 2017.

The individual has been identified as Ryan Chafin, 39.

Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Thomas A. Andrew has determined that the cause of Mr. Chafin’s death was multiple gunshot wounds and the manner of Mr. Chafin’s death was homicide.

The investigation into the homicide began on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 shortly after 3 a.m. when police responded to a call at 534 Douglas Street, in Manchester. Upon arrival, the police located Mr. Chafin’s body inside the home.

The investigation into the circumstances surrounding Chafin’s homicide remains active and
ongoing.
