MANCHESTER, NH – Sandra Cobbett, 35, of Manchester, was arrested March 8 in connection with a stabbing incident on Kimball Street.

At approximately 3 p.m.  police officers responded to 431 Kimball St. and spoke with Cobbett. She said the 33 year-old father of her two children was inside their Kimball Street apartment when they began arguing. He picked up their 4-year-old daughter while she told him to vacate the apartment, but he refused to leave.

Cobbett then allegedly picked up a knife and stabbed him in the leg while he was holding their daughter. The man put the child down after Cobbett stabbed his leg. Because he was wearing many layers of clothing, his leg was not injured. However, he was stabbed in his hand as he attempted to disarm her. He sustained a non-life threatening injury to his thumb before leaving the apartment.

Officers located the victim a short distance from the residence. He refused medical treatment for his thumb injury and both kids (their 9-year-old son was also present during the incident) were placed into temporary custody with their maternal grandmother. Cobbett was scheduled to appear in the 9th Circuit Court-Manchester on March 9, 2017.  She was charged with two counts reckless conduct and one count first degree assault.
