MANCHESTER, NH – Police arrested Casey Currivan, 32, of Manchester on Feb. 21, who is charged with burglary and theft of guns and related charges, an arrest which began as a routine domestic dispute call.

Officers responded to a Baker Street apartment at 11:20 a.m. Tuesday for a domestic incident involving a husband and wife. Upon arrival, they spoke with the female victim who stated her husband, Currivan, had broken two items in the house during a heated argument.

She said he had thrown an unknown item at the television set, which damaged the screen during the dispute. He then picked up her cell phone and threw it down the stairs before leaving the apartment. His actions broke the cell phone as he vacated the apartment and headed north toward Queen City Avenue.

Officer Adam Bergeron-Rosa provided suspect information to additional units and advised officers that Currivan was wanted on two counts of domestic criminal mischief. Officer Ryan Hardy located  Currivan at Queen City Avenue and Brown Ave.

Information was relayed to police dispatch that Currivan had placed an unknown item behind the 7-Eleven store located across the street from where he was stopped. Officer James Pittman located two rifles wrapped in a blanket behind the store.

The investigation revealed Currivan had allegedly removed the rifles from a neighboring Baker Street apartment. He allegedly broke a window, which caused several small lacerations to his hand. The burglary victim was notified and his rifles were placed into evidence. Currivan was treated at an area hospital for his hand injury and eventually transported to Hillsborough County House of Correction.

Currivan was charged with burglary; two counts theft by unauthorized taking or transfer; two counts criminal mischief; and falsifying physical evidence. He was scheduled to  appear in the 9th Circuit Court-Manchester on February 22, 2017.
