MANCHESTER, NH — Three people were arrested — two of them on outstanding warrants – after police were called to a domestic dispute call on Tuesday morning.
At approximate 8:40 a.m. on July 24 Manchester Police responded to 208 Elton Ave. for a domestic-related disturbance. As police were pulling up to the address the officers witnessed a male chasing a female from the residence. They also watched the man place his arm around the woman’s neck as the two headed back toward the house. The man pushed the woman into the house after releasing her neck, so the officers made their way to the residence to investigate the incident.

A different female standing on the front porch told the officers both individuals were inside the home.
Officers entered the address and soon located the woman, age 27, hiding in the bathroom. The officers determined she was the same individual who was engaged in the struggle with the man moments earlier outside the home. However, they learned she had an outstanding theft-related warrant, so she was taken into custody without incident. Her name and photo were not provided by MPD due to her victim status.
Next, officers located and spoke with several people inside the address, to include Justin Martin, 31, and Jesse Rondeau, 27, both of Manchester. Rondeau and Martin were attempting to conceal themselves in the basement and initially refused to exit their hiding place.
Martin was arrested and charged with simple assault (domestic), resisting arrest/detention, warrant from Merrimack County and possession of controlled drug after they located one gram of fentanyl during a search incident to arrest.
Rondeau was taken into custody on an unrelated warrant (probation violation) out of Merrimack County.
Martin will most likely appear in Hillsborough County Superior Court-North on June 25, 2018.
