Difficult ending for family of man, 81, reported missing during storm

Authorities searching for a missing man in Manchester Thursday.

MANCHESTER, NH – A follow-up to a story posted yesterday at the height of the snowstorm.

Jacques “Jack” Beliveau, 81, of Manchester, who was reported missing by his family when he failed to return home from his daily walk, has died.

Manchester Police responded to 10 Hollyhock Way at 10:30 a.m. on Feb. 9 where Beliveau’s family explained that he had not returned from his daily walk, which he left for at about 9 a.m.

Police Officer Tom McAuliffe and his K-9 partner located Mr. Beliveau around 1 p.m. in the wooded area surrounding Crystal Lake. He was in grave condition when located. Several officers performed CPR before Mr. Beliveau was transported to the Elliot Hospital. He succumbed to his injuries late last night, according to police.
