MANCHESTER, NH – Manchester Police arrested a man who made a scene during a Donald Trump campaign rally at Manchester Community College Wednesday night.

According to Manchester Police Lt. Todd Boucher, Todd McMullen, 23, of 25 Linlew Dr., Derry, told police his intention was to “disrupt the event and get Tasered and sprayed” by police.

Boucher said police were called at about 6:45 p.m. to the campus on Front Street for a report of a man acting disorderly and fighting with security police. McMullen was charged with disorderly conduct and two counts of simple assault, one for spitting at a police officer and the other for assaulting a security officer.

Boucher said he did not know the nature of the initial disruption that led to police being called, only that the Trump event was being held in the gymnasium. He also said McMullen was not Tasered or “sprayed,” by police, just placed under arrest.

“He’s currently waiting for a bail commissioner,” Boucher said of McMullen.
