MANCHESTER, NH –  For more than 60 years, the Charlie Brown Christmas special has endured the test of time and introduced generation after generation to the love and the music of the Peanuts characters, created by Charles Schulz.

But it’s also the beloved music by jazz legend Vince Guaraldi, that tugs on our heartstrings.

On Monday, December 5 you can come experience one of the country’s most outstanding jazz quartets, the Eric Mintel Quartet, perform their Charlie Brown Jazz and more.  Pianist and composer Eric Mintel and the Eric Mintel Quartet have been thrilling audiences of all ages  will electrify you with their unique take on all your Christmastime favorites.

Mintel’s resume includes two White House performances, for President Clinton in 1998 and President Obama 2011, several concerts at the Kennedy Center, and a special concert at the United Nations.  Mintel has also been a featured guest on Marian McPartland’s Piano Jazz on NPR.

Joining him for this season’s show at the Palace Theatre will be Nelson Hill on sax/flute; Dave Mohn on drums; and Jack Hegyi on bass.  Their playlist will include the classic “Christmas Time is Here,” “Skating,” “Christmas is Coming,” and the legendary “Linus and Lucy” theme song – a night of musical fun for families, and a great way to introduce a new generation to the joy of jazz.
