MANCHESTER, NH — Local democrats are invited to hear five-minute speeches by Democratic candidates for NH’s 1st U.S. Congressional District on Saturday, December 2 at 11:30 a.m.
The forum will be held at the Manchester Public Library Auditorium, 405 Pine Street. Â
Registered Democrats are invited to attend and can register here.
Incumbent Congresswoman Carol Shea Porter is not seeking reelection.
Candidates seeking the Democratic nomination for the position include:
Mark S. Mackenzie of Manchester, former New Hampshire AFL-CIO president and current state Rep. [No current link for congressional campaign site available.]
Mindi Messmer of Rye, a State Representative and environmental consultant.
Terence O’Rourke of Alton, an Army veteran of Iraq and Rochester City Attorney.
Chris Pappas of Manchester, an Executive Councilor and small-business owner.
Lincoln Soldati of Lincoln, a lawyer and former Strafford County Attorney.
Maura Sullivan of Portsmouth, a Marine Corps Iraq Veteran and former Assistant. Secretary of Veterans Affairs in the Obama Administration.
