MANCHESTER, NH — Earth Day 2016 is coming fast, and there are several options for you to celebrate here in the Queen City.

Intown Manchester’s Annual Adopt-A-Block: You can sign up now to take part in this year’s Downtown Adopt-A-Block neighborhood clean-up, organized by our friends at Intown Manchester.

Screen Shot 2016-04-14 at 8.36.49 AMThis year’s clean-up is scheduled for April 23, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Each year around Earth Day, neighbors, co-workers and school groups come out for a day of deep cleaning with their rakes and work gloves, becoming official members of Intown Manchester’s “Clean Team,” for a day. What better way to tackle our city’s much-needed spring cleaning after a long winter, and give Mother Earth an annual hug.

Downtown Adopt-A-Block is the perfect opportunity to be part of something that is bigger than all of us — keeping the Earth green. To participate, simply form a team and sign up with Intown Manchester. Your group will receive information about clean-up sites and where to meet up a week before the event!

Suggestions for areas in need of a good cleaning are welcome. Contact Julia Whitney at Intown Manchester, jwhitney@intownmanchester.com.
