David O. Ducharme, 63: Owned Henry’s Collision Center, made friends wherever he went

MANCHESTER, NH — David O. Ducharme, 63, of Manchester, Bar Harbor, ME, and Orlando, FL, died June 30, 2018 at Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor, ME, after a period of declining health.

He was born in Manchester on July 15, 1954 to Wilfred and Laurette (Pinard) Ducharme.

David was the owner of Henry’s Collision Center in Manchester for more than 35 years. He began working on cars at the age of 16. Throughout his life he enjoyed classic muscle cars and was a collector of antique car memorabilia.

A true “child at heart,” David loved going to Disney World and sitting on the warm beaches of Florida during his winter stays. He also enjoyed hiking the mountains of Acadia National Park in Maine. He especially enjoyed time spent with his grandson, Alex, who referred to him as “Pere.”

David will be remembered for his ability to make friends wherever he went.

The family includes his wife of 19 years, Ann-Marie C. (Macenas) Ducharme; three children, Theodore Macenas, Serena Ducharme and Michael Ducharme; two grandchildren, Alexander Macenas and Kaylee Ducharme; two sisters, Nancy Faro and husband, Charles, and Linda Ducharme; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Claire and William Macenas; two brothers-in-law, James Macenas and wife, Kim, and Michael Macenas and wife, Lisa; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many close friends; and his four Chihuahua babies, Amber, Bree, “Boy” and Colby.

SERVICES: Calling hours are July 6 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., corner of North street, Manchester.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any cancer organization or local animal shelter.
