David Doiron, 73: Lived a life full of passion, and of service to others

David was born in Quincy, Mass., and was  a resident of New Hampshire for most of his life. He served during the  Vietnam War as a navigator with the U.S. Air Force. Just days ago Dave celebrated 32 years of sobriety. He was passionate in helping others find their way toVeteran tribute obits their own recovery, and served as chairman of the board with Hope for New Hampshire Recovery.

Dave volunteered as a counselor with several different organizations. He touched countless lives with his passion for life and helping others achieve their recovery. His parting words often were, “Be good to a friend of mine.”

Members of his family include his wife Barbara A. Doiron of Goffstown; two daughters and their husbands, Jennifer (Mark) Doiron Pettigrew of Concord and Elizabeth (Joseph) Doiron Areyzaga of Goffstown; his father, Paul E. Doiron of Claremont; one brother, Gary Doiron of Newport; four grandchildren, Tyler, Andrew, Courtney and Stephanie..

SERVICES: Following cremation, calling hours will be held Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at French and Rising Funeral Home, 17 S. Mast St., Goffstown.Funeral services will be Friday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home.
