MANCHESTER, NH – Jonathan Legault, 26 of Manchester, turned himself in at police headquarters Wednesday night after an investigation into serious injuries sustained by his three-month-old daughter on October 10.
Police were first notified of the incident at approximately 4:10 p.m. that day, when officers were called to Catholic Medical Center to discuss suspicious injuries to an infant patient.
The baby was airlifted to Boston Medical Center to seek treatment for her injuries. She is now home with her mother. According to the affidavit, Legault recklessly caused serious bodily injury to the child by shaking her and causing a subdural hematoma and retinal hemorrhaging.
Legault is scheduled to be arraigned in the 9th Circuit Court-Manchester at 8:15 a.m. Oct. 21.
