MANCHESTER, NH — Manchester residents, including State Sen. Lou D’Allesandro heard activist Ady Barkan of the Be a Hero summer tour speak at a rally August 11 in front of Manchester City Hall to “urge Gov. Chris Sununu to stand up for the health care for all Granite Staters,” according to James Haslam, Executive Director of Rights & Democracy (RAD), which organized the event.

“Barkan’s mission is to urge people to #BeAHero and get out and rally, knock doors, and help turn the tide in this year’s midterm elections. A long time activist, after Barkan was  diagnosed with ALS (“Lou Gehrig’s Disease”), he started touring across the country with a mission to fight for health care justice. The cross-country, 20-state tour started in California July 3, and ended in Maine July 12. Watch the full video.
