MANCHESTER, NH — Police investigating a crash late Tuesday night made an arrest, after one of the passengers was found to be wanted on a bench warrant, and then discovered drugs on him during the arrest process.

At about 10 p.m. on Jan. 19 Manchester Police Officer Derek Cataldo responded to a motor vehicle crash at the intersection of Mammoth Road and Lake Avenue.

He identified the occupants of each vehicle and realized one of the passengers, Andrew Saulnier, 28, of Derry,  was wanted on an electronic bench warrant. Saulnier was transported  to police headquarters.

Officer Cataldo located heroin and methamphetamine while conducting a search of Saulnier prior to arrest. He was subsequently charged with two counts of possession of a controlled drug. He was scheduled to appear in the 9th Circuit Court-Manchester on January 20, 2016.
