MANCHESTER, NH – Police are advising motorists to avoid Dunbarton Road due to an accident near Aggregate Industries. Traffic is being detoured for the rests of the afternoon and into the evening. Dunbarton Road will be closed from Straw Road to the area of the Transfer Station.

The bucket of a construction dump truck attempting to dump the contents of the bucket allegedly struck several wires and caused a domino effect, knocking down several poles, wires and possibly a transformer.

No injuries were immediately reported, police said.

Detour: Use Goffstown Back Road to Straw Road as a detour to get into Goffstown and Dunbarton via Dunbarton Road.

Residents of English Village Road and Garden Drive will be able to access their community via Front Street.

Once the utility pole and power lines are fixed the road will be opened but this could take several hours.
