MANCHESTER, NH – (7 a.m.) Police report that they are investigating two serious and unrelated crashes in the Queen City. The first one occurred at 3:27 a.m. in the area of 430 Lake Ave. Police confirmed at about 11 a.m. that the driver in that accident did not survive. Motorists should expect the road to be closed for several more hours.

The second serious crash occurred at 5:50 a.m. in the area of 350 South Mammoth Road. The northbound lane will  be closed for several hours. A detour taking motorists to Mooresville and then to Huse Road for northbound-only traffic has been set-up. The southbound lane on South Mammoth will remain open during the investigation.

Please seek alternate routes as both road closures will impact the morning commute. There are no other details available at this time.

In addition, police are investigating an incident on the 900 block of Union Street. Details will be provided when available, as that investigation is ongoing, according to Lt. Brian O’Keefe.
