Saturday night in Manchester was really special. The Jimmy Lehoux Band played at Veterans Park to a large crowd and the crowd loved it.
My wife and I sat in the night air and enjoyed every minute of the performance. The large crowd was very mindful of the real quality of the men playing and gave them rounds of loud applause.
The warm-up act was the a capella Profile Chorus, and they were warmly received.
What a great event for our city – a night in the park. Intown Manchester and major sponsor TD Bank should be proud of the Thursday and Saturday events that are free and open to all. The Way Home received the benefits of the raffle and they spoke of the work they are doing for the homeless in our city – a wonderful organization that addresses a real need in Manchester.
As a community, we share in the good things and make an effort to help those in need.
It was a great way to spend a Saturday night in the park. Kids were all around dancing and having a good time in a safe environment and loving what they were doing. This is an example of what good things can happen in our community. AARP was there as well as Families in Transition. A terrific time was had by all.
