Major bridge repair work is scheduled for this span, which will be closed to traffic.

MANCHESTER, NH – A public meeting for residents of Wards 8 and 9 and other interested citizens will be held May 10 at 6 p.m. at the Highland Goffs Falls School to discuss NHDOT’s bridge preservation efforts on the Merrimack River Pan Am Railroad bridge crossing I-293 and NH 101. Work consists of bridge deck pavement and membrane replacement, partial and full depth concrete deck repairs, replacement of the modular expansion joints at the piers and pier repairs, with associated traffic control to complete all the preservation work. This will require that the Brown Avenue Ramp to I-293 NB/NH 101 WB be closed during the bridge preservation work.

Highland-Goffs Falls School is located at 2021 Goffs Falls Road in Manchester.

The purpose of this public outreach meeting is to present citizens with information regarding the proposed project and to answer their questions about road closures and other particulars.

A presentation for the project is below, and also available online on the project website.
