MANCHESTER, NH – Manchester Police Chief Nick Willard has planned a community forum/information night to discuss the city’s opiate addiction crisis and to help those who are struggling with the fallout from addiction.
The July 28 forum is sponsored by the Radisson Hotel, which will host the event at its Salon Ballroom, off of Pleasant Street, and will be facilitated by Scott Spradling of the Spradling Group. It will begin promptly at 5 p.m.
Chief Willard will be one of seven panel members to answer the many questions you may have. Other panel members include; Manchester Fire Chief James Burkush; Timothy Soucy, MPH, REHS Manchester Health Department; Chris Stawasz, General Manager of American Medical Response-NH/ME; Mary Forsythe-Taber, Executive Director, Makin’ It Happen Coalition for Resilient Youth; Melissa Crews, Hope For New Hampshire Recovery; and Wayne Dutch, PhD.
Members of the Manchester Police Department’s command staff recently attended a similar forum hosted by the Merrimack Police Department and were impressed with the dialogue amongst the attendees and the panel members.
The forum is meant for all people to attend, regardless of your knowledge, addiction level, recovery status or if you have loved ones you are concerned for. The panel members bring a wealth or experience, wisdom and insight, so you can learn about this family shattering epidemic affecting thousands of people everyday throughout the country.
