Commissioner Edelblut to attend Manchester education roundtable

MANCHESTER, NH – State Department of Education Commissioner Frank Edelblut will attend an education roundtable on October 19 from 7 – 9 p.m. at the Nackey S. Loeb School of Communication in Manchester. This free, non-partisan event is open to the public and parents, as well as concerned citizens, all encouraged to come and bring their questions.

 
Commissioner Edelblut will open up the roundtable with some remarks, and candidates for municipal office in attendance will then be invited to introduce themselves. This will be followed by a roundtable discussion on several topics of particular relevance to Manchester School District including:
  • Title One funding
  • Special education
  • Cost downshifting
  • Standardized testing
  • Parental rights and involvement
