Granite State Poll results show tight races, fewer undecided voters

Hillary Clinton leads Donald Trump in the race for New Hampshire’s four electoral votes in the final Granite State Poll. Maggie Hassan has a small lead over incumbent Senator Kelly Ayotte, although her lead is within the poll’s margin of error. Colin Van Ostern leads Chris Sununu in the race for Governor although a third of the electorate has not definitely decided whom they will vote for. READ MORE

Survey says: Based on personality type, 75% of American voters are wired to lean conservative

“People who are predisposed (by their personality type) to be conservative represent about 75 percent of the U.S. population, compared with only about 25 percent for those who are more liberal,” researcher Paul Tieger said. “Although by no means a traditional conservative, Trump has a much bigger pool who are naturally hard-wired to receive his message.” READ MORE

Union Leader endorsement a refreshing break from partisan politics

Last year I took issue with Publisher Joseph McQuaid’s chummy relationship with Donald Trump in the months leading up to the paper’s NH Primary endorsement of Chris Christie over Trump. My problem with McQuaid’s indictment of Trump was that it was too little, far too late from the newspaper of record here in New Hampshire. Today, he gets an ‘attaboy’ from me for his endorsement of Libertarian Gary Johnson for president. READ MORE
