Clerk fires shot at robber in Amory Street convenience store robbery

MANCHESTER, NH – At approximately 8:30 p.m. multiple police units were dispatched to Rodriguez Market, 519 Amory St., for an armed robbery. The investigation revealed that an unknown masked robber entered the store and demanded cash.

During the course of the robbery the clerk believed that the suspect was armed, and displayed a pistol, firing one round at the robber. It is unknown if the robber was struck.

The robber fled and was last seen running toward Kelley Street. A track with a police dog was attempted but was later terminated. The robber was described as follows:

    White male

  • Approximately 5-foot-5
  • Black cloth type mask
  • Black hat
  • Black hooded sweatshirt
  • Black pants
  • Black gloves with a lighter color cuff

It appears the robber has some type of tattoo, branding, or marking on the outside of his left wrist. Anyone with information should contact Manchester Police Crimeline online to leave an anonymous tip, or call 624-4040.
