MANCHESTER, NH – After nearly a year since the replacement of Gill Stadium’s artificial turf was raised by the Board of Aldermen – primarily for safety reasons – the city has issued a Request for Qualifications for the job.

The Board of Aldermen in October approved a $2 million bond to cover turf replacement and new LED lighting. Artificial turf was installed in 2004 during renovations for use by the NH Fisher Cats, in advance of the building of Fisher Cats Stadium. At that time, the expected lifespan of the artificial turf was 10 years under normal use.
