MANCHESTER, NH – Officers responded to Walmart, located at 725 Gold St., for a theft in progress call at 7 p.m. on Jan. 27. Officers arrived on scene and spoke with the Loss Prevention Officer Nikolas Bedard, who stated a man was caught on video as he was removing security tags from two items.

Sgt. Christopher Biron located John Zylicz, 34, of Manchester, as he was leaving the store. He was in possession of two items: a Nest camera system valued at $199 and a Nest thermostat valued at $249. Zylicz was in possession of both items when the sergeant located him outside of the store.

Security footage captured Zylicz removing the security tags at approximately 6:29 p.m., minutes before he exited the store. The loss prevention officer also shared security footage from December 29, 2016. The December footage showed Zylicz removing the security tags from two items, a Swann 8 camera and a home theatre system, combined value of $607.

Zylicz was charged with two counts of theft by unauthorized taking (F) for the two incidents mentioned above and use or possession of theft detection shielding device/theft detection device removers (M). He is scheduled to appear in the 9th Circuit Court-Manchester on January 27, 2017.
