HOOKSETT, NH — A Manchester man was arrested by Hooksett Police on Nov. 28 after allegedly  ransacking a car and a mailbox before stealing a bottle of Pinnacle Vodka from a local business.

At 12:41 p.m. officers were dispatched to the area of 33 Coaker Ave. for a report of a man spotted going through a car, a mailbox and then entering 10 Coaker Ave. (New England Brace Co.), which was closed at the time.

The man, later identified as Michael Murphy, 29, of Manchester, then exited the closed business with a bag in his hand. The caller confronted Murphy once he exited the closed business and Murphy took off running south down Coaker Avenue. Officers located Murphy matching the description of the man walking south on Hooksett Road near the Manchester line, carrying a bag with a bottle of Pinnacle Vodka in it.

Officers made contact with the owner of New England Brace Co. who confirmed a bottle of Pinnacle Vodka was missing from inside the business. Murphy was arrested for burglary and loitering and prowling, and was held on $1,000 cash bail and transported to the Merrimack County House of Correction. Arraignment was scheduled for Nov. 29.
