MANCHESTER, NH — Just before noon on May 27 Manchester Fire Department, Manchester Police Department, and American Medical Response were dispatched to 413 Bridge St. for the report of a motor vehicle versus pedestrian crash with injury.  First responding units identified the pedestrian as a 10-year-old female from Manchester who suffered what appeared to be significant injuries.  The child was transported to the Elliot Hospital for treatment.

The vehicle involved was a 2009 Toyota Rav 4 driven by Mary Dahlberg of Weare.  Dahlberg was traveling east on Bridge Street when the child entered the roadway and was struck.

Police say neither speed  or physical impairment appeared to be factors in the crash. At this point, there does not appear to be any improper driving on Dahlberg’s behalf.

The injured child was ultimately transported to Dartmouth Hitchcock Hospital in Lebanon for further treatment for serious, but non-life threatening injuries.

Anyone with information regarding the crash is encouraged to contact the Manchester Police Department Traffic Unit at 603-668-8711.
