MANCHESTER, NH — Celebrate the reopening of the West Library on April 15 from 3-6 p.m. when the public is invited for a glimpse of the new and improved library during an open house and tour.

The West branch is aiming to reopen officially on May 2, said a library employee. [See Editor’s Note below.]

The library closed abruptly in February of 2015 after a burst pipe caused widespread damage. Since then, major renovations repairs and upgrades have been made to the 1870s building, including the HVAC unit, electrical system, elevator repair, rewiring of the computer network, security cameras and new library materials.

The open house coincides with National Library Week, April 10-16.
