MANCHESTER, NH – Just before 3 p.m. on May 2 police say two Hillside students were struck with what appears to be BB gun pellets.
Police say the students, girls ages 13 and 14, were walking home from Hillside when the 14-year-old was struck in the face, and the 13 year old was struck in the thigh. The shootings happened near the intersection of Ashland and Bridge streets. The girls were transported to Elliot Hospital for their injuriesl
Witnesses say the shots came from a passing vehicle, described as a gold two-door car, possibly a Toyota, with a black stripe on the rear window.
It is believed there were three people inside the car. According to reports made to police, the occupants are described as follows: The driver was a light-skinned Hispanic male; a front-seat passenger was a female, also Hispanic, with reddish hair; and in the back seat a dark-skinned Hispanic male.
