It’s the season of giving, and Manchester women’s community group, Fempower, is giving to homeless women in the community. They collected more than 2,000 pads and tampons at their December meeting, which were donated to Manchester shelters.
The annual Thanks For Giving event held at all T-BONES and Cactus Jack’s restaurants raised $85,000, a record total for the unique fundraiser that gives a $10 dining coupon back for every $5 donation received. READ MORE
On October 25 at 11 a.m. a foster care sub-committee, recently approved by the Oversight Committee, will meet to discuss the improvements needed to preserve a foster child’s well-being, support foster parents and to strategize how to recruit and retain more foster homes. READ MORE
A&E Coffee & Tea has collaborated with the International Institute of New England (IINE) to raise money to welcome, support and help refugees. Currently 50 percent of the sales of their newly released Organic Fair Trade coffee from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) will go directly to IINE. READ MORE
