CONCORD, N.H. – The New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) announced on Wednesday that a therapeutic cannabis dispensary is set to open in Conway on Saturday, July 6.
The dispensary will be operated by Sanctuary ATC, which received a registration certificate to begin operations this weekend.
Qualifying patients currently registered with Sanctuary ATC in Plymouth will be able to access both dispensary locations and will not have to register separately for the Conway location.
The dispensary comes as part of legislation passed in 2018 that allowed an additional therapeutic cannabis dispensary in either Carroll, Coos, or Grafton counties and another dispensary in either Cheshire or Sullivan countries.
Since the Therapeutic Cannabis Program began serving patients in 2016, there has been continuous growth in patient access. At the end of 2018, 7,120 qualifying patients and 449 designated caregivers were participating in the program, and currently there are approximately 8,000 registered patients.
