The scam was called to their attention by the NH Boys and Girls Club, which contacted police to report the issue.

Police said that all vendors need a hawkers/peddlers permit to sell goods, and secondly, the Boys and Girls Club IS NOT currently conducting a fundraiser that involves candy bars.

This is a scam. If you should encounter someone selling candy bars for this cause report it to Manchester Police at 668-8411.
