MANCHESTER, NH — Police say a man who was unresponsive behind the wheel of his car was arrested on drug charges, after he was found to be in possession of cocaine and heroin.

screen-shot-2017-01-16-at-6-00-17-pmOn Jan. 16 at approximately 2:25 p.m. Officer Ryan Hardy was flagged down in the area of Silver and Beech streets to investigate a man who appeared to be asleep in a vehicle.  Due to the overwhelming number of heroin/fentanyl related overdoses it was unclear at the time if the subject was asleep or unresponsive due to a potential overdose.

Officer Hardy approached the 2006 Lincoln and observed the sole occupant, later identified as Timothy Bill, 43, of Candia, seated in the driver’s seat.  Bill was unresponsive to verbal requests, however Officer Hardy was able to rouse him.

During the subsequent investigation Bill was found to be in possession of approximately 1 gram of cocaine and approximately 10 grams of heroin which was packaged for sales.  Bill was evaluated on scene by EMS and transported to an area hospital.
