MANCHESTER, NH – A work-release inmate walked away from the Calumet Transitional Housing Unit in Manchester on Sunday, and authorities are seeking information as to his whereabouts.
Christopher William Plaisted-Comeau, 25, formerly of Plymouth, left the house on March 5, 2017 at 10:38 a.m. and did not show up for work at his Manchester employer. He was placed on walkaway status at approximately 1:30 p.m. He was scheduled to return to the facility at 11 p.m. Sunday.
Plaisted-Comeau is described as a white male, 6 feet tall, 195 pounds, with red-auburn hair and blue eyes. He has a tattoo on his left arm.
Plaisted-Comeau is serving a 2-to 4 year sentence from Grafton County Superior Court for reckless conduct. He received 26 days of time served credited to his minimum. He was admitted to the New Hampshire State Prison on February 10, 2014 and was eligible for parole on December 8, 2016. He had not yet been approved for parole. His maximum release date is February 6, 2019.
The New Hampshire Department of Corrections Investigations Bureau and the New Hampshire State Police are investigating. Anybody with information on his whereabouts should call their local law enforcement agency or the New Hampshire State Police.
A walkaway from a correctional work release center is considered an escape, which is a Class B felony punishable by 3 ½ – 7 years in prison.
