Officer Harrington walked the perimeter of the home when he noticed a screen pulled from a basement window. The reporting caller provided a key, which granted access to Officer Harrington. He heard a female voice and a male voice inside of the bedroom as he approached the interior of the home. The female opened the bedroom door after the male subject temporarily escaped through a window. Officer Harrington placed the female into custody while additional officers chased the fleeing man.

Lt. Paul Thompson and Sgt. Tim Patterson chased the male subject through the south end neighborhood. Lt. Thompson, Officer Ben Foster and his K-9 partner Moose located the man in a wooded area near Memorial Drive. They arrested Justin Martin, 30, of Manchester, without further incident.

The officers located 1.5 grams of marijuana on Martin during a search incident to arrest, so he was additionally charged with possession of controlled drug, as well as burglary and resisting arrest/detention.

The female inside the home was identified as Kristina Gosselin, 26, with no fixed address. She was taken into custody and charged with burglary. Both Martin and Gosselin are scheduled to appear in the 9th Circuit Court-Manchester on August 23, 2017.
