MANCHESTER, NH – Brenda Noiseux has announced her candidacy for the Ward 7 seat on the Board of Mayor and Aldermen. The seat is currently held by Alderman William Shea.
Noiseux is a New Hampshire native who moved to Manchester 12 years ago. Below is her official announcement, released June 27.
A fierce pride for Manchester drives Brenda Noiseux to make Manchester an inviting place to live, and a desire to help the city meet that potential. Over the years, she’s worked on various community projects bringing like-minded people together, such as makers and women in technology.
“When I first moved to Manchester, the city was in a state of revitalization. More than a decade later, we have so much untapped potential. Manchester should be the first city people think of for attracting a talented workforce, families and businesses to New Hampshire, but we need to have the forward thinking to make it happen.”
Noiseux’s years of experience in the technology industry gives her an appreciation for strategic long-term planning that uses data, ongoing communication and regular constituent feedback to help ensure success. Paired with her community organizing, it gives her a unique skill set to bring to the table.
Additionally, Noiseux wants more people to be engaged in the local government, including more young people, women and people of color. She hopes that by running for Alderman, she can provide insight into the process and inspire more people to vote, get to know their aldermen, help out with a campaign, or run for office themselves.
“I am truly grateful that I’m at a point in my personal and professional life where I have the time and energy to serve the people of Manchester as an elected official.”
About Brenda Noiseux: After a decade working in technology, Noiseux is flexing her own creative muscles through her consulting company and her art. A community builder, science fiction geek and writer, she’s using her superhero powers for the good of all kind.
