MANCHESTER, NH – A driver of a box truck owned by a city business was cited for an accident that snarled traffic Wednesday morning on I-93 in Concord.

On April 6 at approximately 8 a.m., Troopers from Troop D responded to Interstate 93 northbound near Exit 13 in Concord for the report of a rollover motor vehicle crash.

Troopers located a 2015 Ford Transit box van, registered to Solarcity Corp. of Manchester, rolled over on its passenger side partially blocking the on-ramp. The travel lane  of the Interstate was temporarily closed until the vehicle could be removed.

The operator, Winston Pemberton, 51, of Derry, had been traveling northbound on I-93 in the travel lane, when traffic slowed ahead of him.  Pemberton told police he was unable to slow accordingly, applied his brakes and swerved to the right to avoid a collision. He drove his box truck onto the right shoulder of the roadway and rolled it over onto its right side, where it came to final rest.

Pemberton was cited for following too closely, a traffic violation. No injuries were reported.

Anyone who witnessed the crash or who has information about it is requested to please contact Trooper Jeffrey Ardini at 603-223-4381.
