MANCHESTER, NH — Attorney General Joseph A. Foster and Manchester Police Chief Enoch F. Willard announce that on Oct. 11 the body of Sue Hutchinson was found inside a crawl space at her residence.

Manchester police detectives and Manchester fire fighters responded to 169A Calef Road in Manchester to investigate a report of a strange odor in the building detected by Hutchinson’s family members.  Sue Hutchinson, 57, had been missing since September 20, 2015.

After searching various areas throughout the building, detectives eventually located a crawl space hidden behind a false wall inside a closet in Sue Hutchinson’s apartment. A wall panel in the closet was removed and the body of an adult female was found concealed in the crawl space. Based on all the circumstances, the body is believed to be that of Sue Hutchinson. However, a definitive identification of the deceased will not be made until after the autopsy scheduled for Tuesday, October 13, 2015.

Sue Hutchinson’s roommate also went missing in September around the same time she did. That roommate, Stephen Andrade, 36, killed himself in a motel in Massachusetts on October 6, 2015. Based on statements Andrade made shortly before he killed himself, it appears likely that he killed Sue Hutchinson, concealed her body, fled, and then eventually killed himself.

Further details regarding this investigation will be released once the autopsy results become available.
