Screen shot 2014-09-03 at 1.27.30 PMPolice have identified a bicyclist who was injured Sept. 2 after he was thrown into oncoming traffic from his bike following a collision with one car, and then run over by another car.

Tarik Mukanovic, 13, was listed Wednesday afternoon in critical condition, according to a Dartmouth Hospital spokesperson.

According to a Manchester Police narrative of the accident, Tarik was riding a mountain bike north on Kelley Street at about 3:30 p.m. when he struck a silver Volkswagen Jetta, operated by Chad London, 36, of Manchester, who was traveling east on Kelley Street. Tarik hit the front quarter panel of the Jetta which launched him from his bike into the opposite lane of travel on Kelley Street.

Police say Tarik was in the roadway when a 2009 Lincoln Town Car heading west on Kelley Street, driven by Raymond Lamy, 86, of Manchester did not appear to have enough time to stop his car, causing him to drive over the teen.

Emergency crews arrived and freed Tarik, who was pinned underneath the car. He was immediately transported to Catholic Medical Center where he was treated for head trauma before being transferred to Dartmouth Medical Center in Lebanon, where he was listed in critical condition Sept. 3.
