MANCHESTER, NH – Quick actions by a patrol officer leads to arrest of alleged armed robber minutes after he held up a local convenience store.

On April 23, 2017 at about 8:22 p.m. Officer Jeff Fierimonte was on patrol in the area of Massabesic Street and Old Falls Road when he observed a man, later identified as Joshua Marston, 27, of Manchester, exiting the Shop ‘N’ Go convenience store, 188 Massabesic St., wearing a bandanna covering his face as he left the area riding a bike in a hurried manner.

Officer Fierimonte requested that the police dispatch center contact the store as he followed Marston through some adjacent neighborhoods before being able to stop and detain him in the area of Hall and Cedar streets.

Once detained it was discovered that Marston was in possession of a large sum of money as well as a knife. The store subsequently called 911 and reported that they had just been robbed. The clerk reported that a man wearing a mask and in possession of a knife had demanded cash and fled the store.

Marston was charged with one count of armed robbery. No one was injured as a result of the robbery.
