A Beautiful Day in Manchester, But Fisher Cats Game Postponed

Wednesday held beautiful weather in Manchester. So, of course, the New Hampshire Fisher Cats faced yet another rain postponement.

This time however, it was in Richmond, Virginia. Inclement weather postponed the Fisher Cats’ game against the Richmond Flying Squirrels on Wednesday, The announcement marks New Hampshire’s second postponed away game and eighth postponed game so far this year.

The Fisher Cats only had five postponed games throughout the entire 2016 season.

Thursday will now hold two games at the Diamond in Richmond between the Fisher Cats and the Flying Squirrels. The first game will begin at 4:35 p.m. and the second will begin approximately 30 minutes after the end of the first game.

Wednesday’s starters, New Hampshire’s Connor Greene (2-5, 3.80 ERA) and Richmond’s Cory Taylor (2-5, 4.80 ERA) will now start Game One.

In Game Two, the Fisher Cats will send Francisco Rios (3-4, 3.63 ERA) to the mound in his second appearance after coming off the disabled list.

Rios faces Richmond’s Matt Gage (3-4, 3.70 ERA). Gage seeks his fourth quality start in a row, following consecutive wins against Hartford and Binghamton in his last two starts.
