Back-stabber and victim end up in custody after dispute at Pine Street apartment

MANCHESTER, NH – Manchester Police responded to a reported stabbing at 452 Pine St. at approximately 5 p.m. Jan. 30. Officers located Jay Bingel, 38, of Manchester, inside of the apartment building, who was bleeding from a 1.5-inch laceration on his back. The man told police he was involved in an altercation with the property manager when the stabbing occurred.

Bingel told police the argument took place in the first-floor hallway when Isaac Cora, 43, of Manchester, allegedly stabbed him with a knife. Officers arrested Cora inside of his apartment and later located the knife outside, near Cora’s window. The black-and-silver fixed-blade knife was placed into evidence.

Police did not elaborate on the nature of the argument.

Cora was arrested and charged with first-degree assault, falsifying physical evidence and convicted felon in possession of a dangerous weapon. He is scheduled to appear in Hillsborough County Superior Court-North on January 31, 2018.

Bingel was treated for his non-life threatening injury at an area hospital and later released. However, Bingel was wanted on several outstanding warrants, so he was placed into custody and transported to police headquarters.

Bingel is scheduled to appear in the 9th Circuit Court-Manchester on January 31, 2018 for domestic-related warrants.
