MANCHESTER, NH – TD Bank Free Concerts in the Park is pleased to return in 2016 with two Saturday concerts this August, including an expanded line-up featuring NH “American Idol” contestant, Alex Preston.
Saturday, August 6 the “Livin’ Free Fest” lives up to its name with a free concert in Veterans Park, to celebrate Families in Transition and the work they do to provide Manchester families the homes they deserve. Performers slated for the biggest show of TD Bank Summer Fest 2016 will be The Adam Ezra Group with MonteRosa featuring Albie Monterrosa of deSol. Former American Idol contestant Alex Preston, of Mont Vernon, has just been added to the line-up.
Alex Preston will perform from 4:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. MonteRosa will perform from 6-7:30 p.m., and The Adam Ezra Group will hit the stage from 8-9:30 p.m. Veterans Park will open at 3 p.m.
“We are so excited to bring back our two Saturday festivals right in Veterans Park for 2016,” said Sara Beaudry, Executive Director of Intown Manchester. “The Livin’ Free Fest is an amazing evening of awesome music, family fun, and a celebration of Families in Transition and all of the work they do to help Manchester families in need.”
On Aug. 20, plan to attend the ever-popular Stars, Stripes, and Strings concert, featuring local favorite, the Jimmy Lehoux Band, as well as Profile Chorus. This event is sponsored by TD Bank, WOKQ, AARP, The City of Manchester, and Intown Manchester, and aims to honor current and past members of our nation’s military.
All concerts, as well as all other TD Bank Summer Fest events, are free, open to the public, and family-friendly. TD Bank Summer Fest also will include the return of TD Bank Movies in the Park! The first movie on Aug. 18 will be “Inside Out” followed by “The Goonies” on Aug. 25. The TD Bank Movies in the Park will run from 8 p.m. to about 9:30 p.m. in Veterans Park. TD Bank’s 4th Annual Family Fest will be on Saturday, August 27 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. This year’s theme is “Under the Sea.”
