LONDONDERRY, NH — The 5th Annual Veterans Count Blues Festival will be held at Londonderry Town Commons, corner of Mammoth and Pillsbury roads on Aug. 24 from 12 -4 p.m
The free event will feature three dynamic blues bands and is a “pass-the hat” fundraiser for Veterans Count, a program of EastersealsNH.

About the Bands
Deep Fry’d Blues Band
Deep Fry’d Blues hails from the NH Seacoast and has been making music since 1998. Band members are Belinda Wollf on vocals, Larry Lusignan on guitar, Ray Sykes on bass, and Dan Fishbein on drums. They perform original material and classic blues rhythm and blues with a touch of funk and swing.
Jeffrey Allen Shaw & Co.
Jeffrey Allen Shaw & Co. (JAS&CO) is different than most bands, by defying the conventional. They strive to make each performance dramatic, rhythmic, driving by implementing their own unique style and high-energy theatrics. JAS&CO takes you on a musical journey of genres. Deeply-rooted in soul, their emphasis is on rhythm & blues, southern rock. Throughout the course of their musical union, Jeffrey Allen Shaw & Co has steadily built their New England fanbase by winning over the hearts of music lovers with a freshness of sound and dynamic contrasts between members. The musicians are versatile on multiple levels and are all an integral part of the band igniting excitement all over the New England Music Scene.
Jeffrey Allen Shaw, lead vocalist, harmonica player, multi-instrumentalist, is an extraordinary performer and undeniably best known for his powerful hard-hitting harmonica playing and frontman showmanship. His virtuosity and musical innovations fundamentally altered many listeners’ expectations of what is possible on a harmonica. Drummer, Skip Fischer, is one of the leaders in progressive drumming. He is an explosive drummer who has toured with Chuck Berry, Bo Diddley, and other great musicians. Bassist Tom Sheppard’s unmistakable style with flawless time and intonation is the backbone of rhythm, with a mixture of structures and free improvisation. Guitarists Dave Elden and Dave Rancourt, with their expressive gritty and/or sultry guitar playing tunes ignites the stage on fire with lots of tasty guitar solos.
Dr. Harp Blues Revue Band
Dr. Harp’s Blues Revue Band is a four-piece powerhouse of music and fun, able to pull off amazing family shows and please the adult crowd into tapping their toes and even full-out dancing to the most innovative music genera in the past century. Lead singer Dennis “Dr. Harp” Martin enjoys his music so much that he gets the crowd involved to share in his love of the blues. He has been playing the harmonica since the age of 10, and doesn’t plan to stop anytime soon. His band has played up and down the east coast, Kansas City, Chicago, and beautiful New Orleans. The band has also done a tour of Europe, hitting Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Holland, Germany, and the former USSR.
Some artists Dr. Harpy has played with or opened for include: Steppin Wolf, BB King, George Thorogood, Room Full of Blues, Big Joe Turner, Johnny Lee Hooker, Bobby Blue Bland, Gate Mouth Brown, and Johnny Winter. Some of the lead singer’s influences are Bob Hennessey, James Cotton, and Little Walter.
