The NH Gay Men’s Chorus holds open auditions twice annually, in early September and early January, before the first three rehearsals of their Winter or Spring concert series. They are seeking singers who are men over the age of 18, gay or straight (gay-supportive).

Next auditions are scheduled for:

Tuesday, September 2, 2014, 6:30 p.m.
Tuesday, September 9, 2014, 6:30 p.m.
Tuesday, September 16, 2014, 6:30 p.m.

All auditions are held at the Brookside Congregational Church, 2013 Elm St., Manning House parlor, to the right of main entrance. Rehearsal for the Winter 2014 concert series, A Blizzard of Seasonal Songs, immediately follows from 7 to 9:30 p.m.

Auditions are quick, private, and painless. You needn’t have any material nor music prepared. It is an exercise in pitch matching to place your voice in the proper section. The ability to read music is helpful, but it is not a requirement for joining. Rehearsals repeat every Tuesday through December. NHGMC asks every member for $50 seasonal membership dues. Members are also asked to purchase a tuxedo to wear at most concert performances.
