AUBURN, NH – On April 28, 2019, NH Fish and Game Conservation Officers responded to a serious All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) accident on private property adjacent to Squirrel Lane in Auburn.

At approximately 3:30 p.m., Jesse A. Therrien, 25, of Manchester, collided with a fallen tree that was partially blocking the trail that he was operating on. When Therrien struck the tree it caused his ATV to roll over and in turn caused him to suffer serious but non-life threatening injuries. Therrien was riding with a friend who was quickly able to call for assistance from emergency personnel.

Upon receiving notification of the accident, a NH Fish and Game Conservation Officer, Derry Fire and EMS, and the Auburn Police Department responded to the location of the accident. Therrien was transported to Elliot Hospital in Manchester to be treated for his injuries.

The accident is still under investigation, but based on the preliminary investigation it appears that speed was a contributing factor in the collision. Although Therrien is an experienced rider, NH Fish and Game would like to remind all riders to drive at an appropriate speed for the conditions of the trails.
