MANCHESTER, NH – Police on Thursday arrested Donald Nickerson, 57, in connection with two reported thefts from a local health club.

Detectives Dan Whelan and Justin Mangum located and arrested Nickerson on March 15 after receiving an anonymous crime tip suggesting Nickerson was responsible for the theft of a wallet and a jacket from the Fortitude Health and Training locker room, located at 775 Canal St.

Several surveillance photos of the theft suspect were circulated widely to news outlets earlier Thursday by police. Police located Nickerson, listed as homeless, at around 8 p.m. at the Super 8 Motel and placed him into custody without incident.

Investigators determined he was responsible for the first theft, of a jacket on March 2, 2018, and the credit cards, taken along with a wallet on March 6, some of which were used to charge over $300 at a local store that same day. Nickerson was charged with two counts receiving stolen property (felony) and two counts of fraudulent use of credit cards.

Nickerson is scheduled to appear in Hillsborough County Superior Court-North on March 16, 2018.
