Arrest made for DUI after fatal accident in Nashua

NASHUA, NH — On October 19, 2019, at approximately 11:45 p.m., Troopers of the New Hampshire State Police Troop B barracks in Bedford, NH, responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash on the Northbound side of the F.E. Everett Turnpike in Nashua, near mile marker 0.6.  

Upon arrival, Troopers determined that a vehicle driven by Sarah E. Shaw, 36, of Nashua was traveling north and struck a motorist standing outside of a disabled vehicle.

The victim was identified as Osman Konda, 53, of Nashua. Konda was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash and Shaw was arrested and charged with alleged driving while intoxicated.

The two right-hand travel lanes on the Turnpike were closed for approximately four hours, while the State Police CAR Team processed the scene.  Assisting the Trooper were officers from Nashua PD, Nashua Fire Department and personnel from NHDOT and AMR.
