On Tuesday, April 16 6:30 – 7:30 p.m., liberal billionaire Tom Steyer will speak at the New Hampshire Institute of Politics (NHIOP) at Saint Anselm College about what he calls, “The hostile corporate takeover of American democracy.”
During the event, entitled “Corruption or Justice: American Democracy at a Crossroads,” Steyer will participate in an armchair discussion with Josh McElveen, a media consultant and former political director for WMUR-TV, to make the case that, “Donald Trump is the most extreme symptom of a corrupted political system — and that impeaching him is part of a larger fight to give power back to the people.”
In addition to calling for the impeachment of Donald Trump, Steyer said he intends to, “Lay out a positive, progressive vision for the 21st century.”
Steyer launched Need to Impeach on October 20, 2017, with an initial $40 million investment to raise the voices of people across the country who were angered by Trump’s presidency and policies. Earlier this year, Steyer committed an additional $40 million in 2019 toward impeaching Trump.
NH Institute of Politics is located AT 100 Saint Anselm Drive in Manchester.
